Swedish Health Services Laboratory Operation supervisor- Evening/Nights in Edmonds, Washington
$10,000 Signing Bonus (External Candiates Only) $5,000 at time of hire $5,000 at 12 months of employment.
Provides technical and operational supervision and direction for the clinical laboratory. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infection control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies. Assures adequate staffing and provides work direction to include scheduling, evaluations, and counseling. Performs the essential job functions of a Medical Technologist. Provides input for the budgeting process.
Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or an appropriately related field, from a regionally accredited college/university.
Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire -or-
National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology upon hire -or-
National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists upon hire -or-
National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists upon hire -or-
National Laboratory Tech - United States Government upon hire
3 years Full time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in the specialty in the U.S., Canada or a CAP/The Joint Commission accredited laboratory within the last six years. These three years of experience must be acquired post baccalaureate degree and be under the supervision of a pathologist (certified by the American Board of Pathology) or an appropriately board certified medical scientist;
Master's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or an appropriately related field, from a regionally accredited college/university
3 years of laboratory supervisory experience
