Sterile Processing Technician III at Swedish Edmonds
The Sterile Processing Technician III decontaminates surgical instruments and equipment as well as inspects and assembles surgical instruments, equipment, trays, and packs. Fills surgery case carts from predetermined listings. May deliver case carts to surgical floor. Assists in recordkeeping and monitoring equipment operations. Identify and reports supplies, equipment, and procedure problems. May assist in the orientation and continuing training of other Technicians. Capable of making department section decisions in the absence of a Lead.
Completion of a formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test
Certification through internationally recognized organizations such as (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management) or (American Society of Healthcare Central Personnel)
5 years of related experience with surgical instrumentation in hospital Sterile Processing/Central Services environment
