Join our team at Swedish Issaquah where you’ll support nurses both in and out of surgery, among other patient care tasks. As a Providence caregiver, you’ll apply your specialized training to deliver world-class health with human connection and make a difference every day through your extraordinary care.
Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service to support excellence in overall care.
Evaluates nursing activities to ensure patient care, staff relations, and efficiency of service; addresses any issues that affect the desired patient outcomes.
Observes nursing care and visits patients to ensure that treatment is carried out as directed, and administered in accordance with physician's instructions.
Facilitates the process of reporting patient status to the following shift of nursing personnel.
Manages the nursing care of assigned patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols.
Assesses plans and evaluates patient care needs.
Administers prescribed medications, changes dressings, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs.
Monitors, records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Instructs and educates patients and families.
Assists Clinic Supervisor and/or Clinic Manager in the development of training for the nursing staff to include patient education, sharpening of nursing skills, emergency procedures, etc.
Actively participate in continuing education and meetings.
Assesses and coordinates patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Orients and mentors new staff members.
Assist in the development of nursing standards as agreed upon by the clinic manager.
Acts as a resource and support for nursing staff and facilitate collaborative team work on the unit and with ancillary departments.
Promote the mission of Swedish externally in a positive way. Function as an ambassador for Swedish when interfacing with anyone outside the organization.
Demonstrate the Swedish values including patient-centered care and service; respect, caring and compassion; teamwork and partnership; continuous learning and improvement; and leadership at all times.
Consistent use of AIDET system for excellent service.
Required Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program
Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
1 year Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Provider Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association upon hire
