Swedish Health Services Echosonographer in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Echosonographer - Cardiovascular Diagnostics at Swedish Issaquah

This position is responsible for performing adult M-Mode, Two-Dimensional, Pulsed and Continuous Wave Doppler, Color Flow Imaging, Stress (Treadmill and Pharmacologic) Echocardiography, and assisting cardiologists with TEE exams. One must be proficient at writing up preliminary reports for placement in the electronic medical chart immediately following every echo exam. The position requires the performance and understanding of anatomy on adult patients. This position may also involve working at and travel between Swedish Health Services hospitals and clinics.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications:

  • Satisfactory completion of a formal accredited Ultrasound training program

  • 6 monthsinternship in cardiac scanning experience

  • Meets the requirements for registry by ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in adult echo.

  • Registry with the ARDMS in Adult Echocardiography is required within one year of employment.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound

  • 2 years experience of cardiac scanning experience with adult patients.
