Swedish Health Services Physical Therapist in Seattle, Washington
Description
The Physical Therapist (PT) is a member of the interdisciplinary team that provides direct clinical services to the Swedish Pain Services (SPS) including the outpatient "Functional Restoration" center and hospital-based "Pain Management" suite.
Required qualifications:
A graduate of an accredited program of physical therapy.
Washington state physical therapy license, or temporary permit.
Strong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic pain.
Ability to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans.
Strong orthopedic background experience.
Highly developed interpersonal, and counseling skills.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects.
Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population.
Ability to work effectively with groups.
Ability to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals within and outside Swedish.
Ability to work in different settings as required by system needs.
Washington Physical Therapist License upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred qualifications:
Women’s health continuing education or certification experience.
Pain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialist.
Graduation from accredited DPT program.
Experience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations based on campus needs.
Experience treating chronic pain.
