Description

The Physical Therapist (PT) is a member of the interdisciplinary team that provides direct clinical services to the Swedish Pain Services (SPS) including the outpatient "Functional Restoration" center and hospital-based "Pain Management" suite.

Required qualifications:

• A graduate of an accredited program of physical therapy.

• Washington state physical therapy license, or temporary permit.

• Strong understanding of bio psychosocial model of chronic pain.

• Ability to learn and/or integrate the latest concepts of Pain Neuroscience Education into treatment plans.

• Strong orthopedic background experience.

• Highly developed interpersonal, and counseling skills.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple demands and projects.

• Ability to work with a diverse patient and staff population.

• Ability to work effectively with groups.

• Ability to develop cooperative relationships with families, patients, physicians and other health care professionals within and outside Swedish.

• Ability to work in different settings as required by system needs.

• Washington Physical Therapist License upon hire.

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred qualifications:

• Women’s health continuing education or certification experience.

• Pain Neuroscience continuing education or certification as therapeutic pain specialist.

• Graduation from accredited DPT program.

• Experience in ortho, neuro, cancer, cardiac or other designated specialty populations based on campus needs.

• Experience treating chronic pain.
