Swedish Health Services Senior Manager Diagnostic Imaging in Seattle, Washington
Description
Provides management and leadership for all administrative and technical operations of vascular ultrasound programs and services throughout the Swedish network across the system including First Hill, Cherry Hill, and Ballard, Edmonds and Issaquah hospitals and Swedish Ambulatory care centers. Provides technical support for consideration and implementation of vascular ultrasound related diagnostic imaging modalities with the Swedish network including the development, and implementation of programs, policies and practices that assure regulatory and accreditation compliance for vascular diagnostic imaging and related activities including digital data archiving and management. The position is responsible for the daily operations and personnel at the Swedish Vascular Ultrasound Laboratory and contracted services at Cherry Hill, First Hill, Issaquah, Edmonds, Ballard and the Swedish ambulatory care centers.
Works in collaboration with SHVI and SNI Administration and designated medical directors to provide leadership for the provision of vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology services within the Swedish System. Provides direction to supervisory staff to insure the highest quality of both patient care and customer service.
Sets goals for improving both patient care and customer service. Provides leadership to insure achievement of goals.
Defines activities pertaining to the standardization of care delivery across all sites of service, identifying and implementing best practices.
Initiates the development of new or modified departmental projects as necessary to meet operation, quality management and performance goals and objectives.
Insures that all Accreditation for vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology labs (IAC and ABRET) are met and maintained. Provides direction and guidance for any related accreditation activities throughout the Swedish network.
In collaboration with CIS, actively participates in the ongoing design and development of all vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology related computer applications, insuring functionality as well as adherence to regulatory requirements.
Insures that all staffing and training needs for the assigned departments are met along with all HR policies, safety requirements, and regulatory stands (JC, CMS, etc.).
Prepares, manages and monitors operating budgets for all assigned cost centers in order to achieve fiscal goals. Develop annual capital budget.
Identifies, develops and directs implementation of innovative approaches to care delivery which positively affects the quality-cost balance.
Monitor advances within the technical arena and identifies technology appropriate to maintain market leadership. Provides support for the purchase and implementation of such on a system-wide basis.
Identifies and cultivates business development opportunities for vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology services across the Swedish network.
Develops and maintains collaborative working relationships with medical directors and other physicians to the end of improving unit and organizational performance.
Initiates collaborative working relationships with other operational units at Swedish as well as community partners. Identify and develop opportunities for partnerships on a service level and philanthropy/funding pathway.
Identifies needs and develops marketing activities for vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology in order to maintain market leadership and achieve desired growth.
Provide leadership in the development of SVHI and SNI technical development strategy.
Pursues appropriate professional development to stay current on management practices and up to date on trends and successful strategies in vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology. Models professionalism at all times, leading the department in a manner that results in positive employee performance and team spirit.
Serves s member of SHVI and SNI management teams and carries out other duties as assigned by these administrations.
Required qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
5 years acute care setting with and management experience in a health care organization comparable to Swedish.
Work experience in in vascular ultrasound and clinical neurophysiology comparable to those offered by the Swedish Health System.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience in the field may be considered in lieu of Master’s Degree.
