Swedish Health Services Senior Patient Services Representative -Up to $1,500 Hiring Bonus in Seattle, Washington

Description:

Swedish is calling a Senior Patient Services Representative (1.0 FTE, Days) in the Multiple Sclerosis Center at Swedish Medical Group in Seattle, WA. $1,500 Hiring Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment - this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment.

The Senior Patient Services Representative will provide front office services to patients; coordinate surgeries, procedures and deliveries with physician, hospital and patient schedules; perform clerical and records activities in support of patients and staff.

In this position you will:

  • Schedule and coordinate patient pre-op, surgery, and post-op appointments

  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, hospitals and medical staff to meet scheduling demands

  • Greet and check in patients in a friendly and courteous manner in person and on the phone; direct flow of patients and calls

  • Collect and verify accurate and complete demographic information from patient or family member. Accurately enter all data into the information system and update patient files as necessary

  • Ensure required authorizations are obtained and communicated to appropriate parties (insurance carriers, patients, etc.) in a timely manner

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Minimum six (6) months of experience coordinating and scheduling surgery, procedural, and delivery schedules

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

  • Clerical experience in a medical facility desired
