Senior Perinatal Ultrasound Technologist
Per Diem 10 Hour Day Shifts
Performs a variety of sonographic examinations dealing with OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts. Expectations also include assisting the radiologist during invasive procedures. Performs abdominal Doppler studies of the liver and liver transplants, as well as performing Nuchal Translucency studies and neonatal cranial exams. One additional certification i.e. Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, Nuchaltranslucency or the Neonatal specialty is required for sonographer 2 status. Makes a clinical judgment of the patient's condition, based on information obtained from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments.

Understands and follows exam protocols as established by the ultrasound physicians.
Demonstrates proper equipment setup and patient preparation for ultrasound procedures.
Demonstrates the ability to identify and utilize age specific imaging protocols.
PATIENT CARE SKILLS:
Demonstrates and practices high quality patient care.
Understands and follows age specific patient assessment protocols.
Observes universal precautions.
Utilizes sterile technique.
Demonstrates knowledge of procedures and appropriate clinical indicators for exam.
Demonstrates knowledge of CPR techniques, with annual review.

Required qualifications:
Coursework/Training: Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound training program.
National Registered Technologist - Sonography upon hire Or
National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire
National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
2 years Experience as a sonographer.
